How to swap content areas (divs) JS free

There’s a lot of scripts out there which will allow you to swap out one content area (div) for another when a link or button is clicked. However if you just want a nice simple div swap no Javascript is necessary, all you need is CSS and HTML.

The Zen of CSS Design Review: The Best of Both Worlds

From what I’ve found most web-design books fall into one of two camps:

Those that focus on code.

These books go into detail about how to put together the “guts” of your website (which is very important). When it comes to books on JavaScript, PHP, and other programming languages, I don’t really expect a bunch of stunning looking designs, and discussing the graphic design side of web-design would just be off-topic. Web-Design Pitfall! Browser Testing.

IE Pitfall!

One mistake that a lot of new web designers make is not testing their sites in a variety of browsers. This may be an especially easy trap for Windows PC users whom all have some version or other of Internet Explorer pre-installed on their computer, but it is certainly a trap that any web-designer can fall into.

Fonts: A Text-Based Dillema

If you design websites, then sooner or later you will notice that the text on your pages (and everyone else’s for that matter) does not look completely uniform from one browser, or computer to the next.  In some cases there may even be quite drastic differences in how your text looks on someone else’s computer.
